Hi, I’m Derek.

As a Certified Structural Integration Practitioner and a professional dancer, movement teacher, and choreographer, I’ve spent decades studying how the body moves, and have developed a knack for spotting patterns of compensation that most people miss.

I’ve worked with dancers, yogis, circus artists, martial artists, and everyday people to not only resolve chronic tension patterns in the body, but uncover blind spots in their training or movement patterns, leading to continued progress beyond our treatment sessions.

I believe that your body has the innate ability to heal into its most easeful, adaptable, and aligned version of itself, no matter your age or circumstance. I work with individuals to help them to get to know that version of themselves, and give them tools to locate that body time and time again when they find themselves lost in the chaotic swirl of their demanding lives.
